Antonoaldo Neves CEO, TAP Air Portugal
Antonoaldo Neves was appointed as CEO of TAP Air Portungal as of January 31, 2018, having joined the company in July, 2017.
Before his tenure at TAP, he was President of Azul Linhas Aéreas. During his three years at the airline, he successfully led the IPO process, raising more than US$ 1 billion for the company during the period of the biggest economic crisis in Brazil.
Prior to his time at Azul, Neves worked for McKinsey & Company for 14 years. As a Global Partner he led aviation, infrastructure and concession practices in Latin America. This included overseeing the merger of two major airlines in Brazil, returning the new regulatory framework for the aviation industry in Brazil, as well as the development of a vision and strategic planning for the sector until 2030. He also devised the model for airport concessions in Brazil and designed the restructuring and the capital opening of airport operator INFRAERO.
He held a Non-Executive seat on the Board of Directors of INFRAERO (2011 - 2012), with the purpose of supporting the professionalization and implementation of good corporate governance practices on the board of directors of the company. He also served as Executive Director responsible for planning, organization, processes and technology at CYRELA (2010 - 2012).
Since 2017 Neves has also been a Non-Executive Member of the Board Of Directors at Anima Educacão, one of the largest education groups in Brazil, with about 100 thousand students and colleges and universities throughout the country.
He holds a Master in Business Administration from the University of Virginia, Master in Corporate Finance from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidade Estadual de São Paulo.
