On which Star Alliance flights is the Circle Pacific Fare valid?

The fare is valid on flights operated by Air Canada (AC), Air China (CA), Air India (AI), Ethiopian Airlines (ET), EVA Air (BR), Turkish Airlines (TK), Lufthansa (LH), ANA (NH), Air New Zealand (NZ), Asiana Airlines (OZ), Singapore Airlines (SQ), Shenzhen Airlines (ZH), THAI (TG) and United (UA) to Australia and Norfolk Islands, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, China, Cook Islands, Fiji, Tahiti in French Polynesia, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Indonesia, Japan, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Philippines, Western Samoa, Singapore, Tahiti, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga, USA and Vietnam.

There are certain exceptions. Please check with the Book and Fly tool for valid flights and contact any Star Alliance member airline reservation centre or your travel agent for further information.

In how many countries is the Circle Pacific ticket valid?

The fare is applicable on Circle Pacific journeys to Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, China, Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia Tahiti, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Philippines, Western Samoa, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga, USA and Vietnam.

How many flight coupons does the Circle Pacific Fare include at most?

The Circle Pacific Fare includes a maximum of 16 flight coupons for the entire journey, including any subsequent changes to the route.

How long is the Star Alliance Circle Pacific Fare valid?

Your Circle Pacific trip must last at least seven days between the first and last international departure and extend to six months after departure of the first flight.

Where can I start and end my trip with the Circle Pacific Fare?

Your trip must begin and end in the same country, which will be one of the following: Australia and Norfolk Islands, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, China, Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia Tahiti, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Philippines, Western Samoa, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga, United States and Vietnam.

The itinerary allows for one visit per city and a maximum of three transits in each city. Certain exceptions may apply.

Is it necessary to plan all flights of the Circle Pacific Fare in advance?

The Circle Pacific Fare is valid only if purchased before your departure. Reservations up to and including the first intercontinental leg and the purchase of the ticket must be made at least 7 days prior to the departure of the first flight. The following sectors can be booked at a later stage.

Which regions should I travel to and what is the maximum distance allowed in the Circle Pacific Fare?

Your trip must have at least one stopover in each of the three regions (Asia, North America and Southwest Pacific).
Depending on your route the maximum allowed mileage of the Circle Pacific Fare is 22,000 or 26,000 miles.

In which cabin classes is the Star Alliance Circle Pacific Fare available?

The airfare is available in First Class, Business Class and Economy.

How much does the Star Alliance Circle Pacific Fare cost?

The fare will depend on the distance, the class occupied and the country of origin, adding the applicable fees, taxes and surcharges.

Certain exceptions may apply. For more information, contact any Star Alliance member airline sales office or your travel agent or use the online version of the Book and Fly tool to plan your dream trip to China.

Does the Circle Pacific fare offer discounts for children?

The child discount is not applicable to First and Business Class fares.

What is a stopover and how many stopovers does the Circle Pacific fare allow?

A layover is a stay of 24 or more hours. The Circle Pacific Fare requires a minimum of three stopovers and allows a maximum of 15 stopovers. Only one stopover is allowed in the same city. A minimum of one stopover is required, except in the area of origin. Depending on your country of origin, other stopover restrictions may apply. Only three stops are allowed in Japan.

What is a layover and how many layovers are allowed?

A transfer is a stop that lasts less than 24 hours. The Circle Pacific Fare allows an unlimited number of transfers, but only a maximum of three transfers are allowed in each city.

Does the Circle Pacific fare allow for intermediate sectors, also known as surface sectors?

Yes, surface sectors are allowed. As they are not included in the calculated Circle Pacific Fare, surface sectors are at the passenger's expense. If the stopover in the intermediate land sector exceeds 24 hours, it will be considered as one stopover.

What is the maximum weight allowed for free baggage?

With the Circle Pacific Fare, the piece concept applies. The unlimited baggage allowance in Economy Class is one (1) piece of 20 kg (44 lb) per person, in Business Class it is two (2) pieces of luggage weighing a total of 30 kg (66 lb) per person and in First Class it is two (2) pieces of luggage weighing a total of 40 kg (88 lb) per person. If the trip is only within North America, surcharges may be applied from the first checked bag. Please contact your airline for possible excess baggage charges and for more information if you need permission to carry more baggage.

Can I collect miles when using the Star Alliance Circle Pacific Fare?

Yes, all flights taken with this Airfare will accrue miles to your nominated Star Alliance Frequent Flyer Program and even earn you status points, depending on the rules of your chosen Star Alliance Frequent Flyer Program.

When will I be able to choose specific meals for my flights?

Special meals and all other dietary options should be discussed directly with the relevant airline at least 24 hours before each flight.

When will I have the opportunity to select seats or reserve wheelchairs or other services for my trip?

Requests for seats and other services will be handled directly by the airlines on each flight.

Can I get a refund if I need to change or cancel my reservation?

Yes, you can receive a refund if you change or cancel your reservation, or if you change your itinerary. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions section of the booked fare for the conditions of cancellation or change of plans.
