NEW ONLINE COURSES FOR U.S. TRAVEL AGENTS & TRAVEL MANAGERS Win Airline Tickets and Other Prizes by Completing Online Training Courses

As part of its 20th Anniversary activities, Star Alliance has linked up with online travel training provider OTT (www.ott.travel) to offer US-based travel professionals the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the leading global airline network, combined with the opportunity to enter a competition to win shopping or air travel prizes.

The easy and interactive training modules help travel professionals learn about products, benefits and advantages provided by the Star Alliance network of 28 airlines, which offer more than 18,400 daily flights to 1,300 airports in 191 countries.

To participate in the competition, agents simply need to register here and complete all four modules of the online training course. Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate of accomplishment is issued which automatically enters them into the weekly prize draw. Prizes include 20 Amazon gift cards with a value of $100 each and complimentary air tickets on Air India, South African Airways, TAP Portugal and Turkish Airlines. The competition runs from June 5th – June 18th, 2017 (5 pm PDT).

The OTT online training courses about Star Alliance will continue to be available even after the two week special competition.

Additionally, the training modules contain information on the Alliance’s current Mileage Millionaire Competition. Each of the Alliance’s 21 Frequent Flyer Programs are offering one million miles (or equivalent) as a prize. To enter, participants are asked to upload a picture of themselves and to share a cultural experience they enjoyed at www.staralliance.com/mileagemillionaire. The cultural experiences will be shown on an interactive world map. The last date to enter is July 31st, 2017.

Online Travel Training (OTT) was created in 2008 as the world’s first online training platform for the travel industry and with its current 140,000 global members has the largest registered community of travel professionals of any e-learning platform. Star Alliance has been a recognized partner of OTT and an early adopter of the e-learning technology. In 2013 a UK travel agent-specific course was introduced and shortly thereafter Star Alliance became the launch customer for OTT’s global initiative. OTT continues to broaden its network to be a truly global e-learning solution for travel organizations worldwide and with members registered in over 192 countries it nearly has the identical coverage as Star Alliance. OTT’s membership and the number of courses passed continue to grow, with over 1,500 new registrations per month and over 6,000 monthly course passes, more than any other provider.
