CEO, Croatia Airlines
Kresimir Kucko was elected Croatia Airlines President and Chief Executive Officer in September, 2012.
In this capacity, Mr. Kucko has played a key role in positioning Croatia Airlines as the leading airline in the region and has helped the company adjust to challenges in the industry, contributing enormously to the completion of major successful projects within the airline, such as organizational restructuring.
Mr. Kucko attended the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zagreb in Croatia and graduated in 1991, with a degree in International Exchange. He joined the company in 1992, six months after the first international flight of Croatia Airlines. He served as the Sales Manager at the Head Office in Zagreb for four years, responsible for the creation of commercial policy and involved in almost all aspects of the business.
In 1996, he was appointed to establish the Representative Office in Switzerland, making him one of the youngest managers in the company. From 2001 to 2004, he was Head of the Domestic Market in Croatia. In 2004, he was promoted to Regional Manager Benelux.
Throughout his professional career, Mr. Kucko has continuously developed his skills in the areas of management, finance, sales, marketing and communication, gaining extensive airline experience in four different countries. He has attended many industry-related courses and training. He speaks English, German and Dutch fluently.
Mr. Kucko is a member of several highly-ranked associations; such as the Croatian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, as well as SKAL Club Zurich, BAR Swiss and Benelux, Star Alliance, CSC in Belgium and CSC in the Netherlands, where he was voted Vice-Chairman in 2012 and appointed Chairman for 2013.
Mr. Kresimir Kucko was born in 1966 in Zagreb. He is married and has three children.
