An internship at Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance will help you make the leap into the international Business World. Through project work in one of our departments you will get an insight into our daily operations and in addition become familiar with the airline industry. With numerous member airlines from all over the world as our customers we will give you an opportunity to work in an international and cultural diverse business environment with English as the official business language. Internship: E-Services, Customer Experience and Technology

 

Internship Facts:

  • Begin: November 2014
  • Duration: 6 months, extension to 12 months possible
  • Location: Frankfurt Airport Center, Frankfurt/Main, Germany

 

Internship Tasks Include:

  • Supports updates of all Star Alliance digital channels, including creation of selected site content, working with creative agencies for specialized content, and translation management
  • Responsible for all daily operations and maintenance activities of the Star Alliance web site; primary point of contact for vendor coordination, task management, prioritization and delivery
  • Coordinates directly with internal stakeholders, as well as member airline counterparts, for work requests, planning and delivery
  • Support consumer and internal websites’ content maintenance and updates
  • Support internal systems and information sourcing updates
  • Development of key reports & analysis, e.g. site visits/usage, user behaviour, devices, etc.
  • Ownership of selected e-services projects, as determined by the Manager, E-Services
  • Supports strategic market initiatives which will result in application to the digital products, i.e. promotions/activities
  • Support audits of member airlines, with regards to compliance to Star Alliance membership requirements, specifically for the digital channels
  • Support for the Star Alliance on-line booking tools, including report generation, member airline coordination and ad-hoc tasks, as determined by the respective Manager

 

Internship Requirements:

  • University degree with a specialisation in on-line/digital and/or Marketing
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • One of the website’s foreign language knowledge an advantage
  • Website / CMS knowledge or experience
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • International Cultural awareness
  • Team spirit
  • Creative thinker, willingness to take initiative
  • Valid Work Permit for Germany
