FRANKFURT, Germany - October 4th, 2012 - The readers of Business Traveller Magazine have voted Star Alliance as the best airline alliance for the seventh time in a row.
In accepting the award, Christian Klick, Vice President Corporate Office, Star Alliance said: "Receiving this award in our 15th Anniversary year makes it extra special. It is further proof that international travellers value the benefits which only an airline alliance can provide."
The awards are recognised throughout the industry as the premier achievement for business travel and give readers of Business Traveller the chance to honour those airlines, airports, hotels and car hire companies which they think are making a real difference in their life on the road.
The annual reader survey is completely independent with no preselection, all of the data from the survey is analysed and audited by an independent market research company who provide the list of winners.
In addition to Star Alliance, the following member carriers received awards: Singapore Airlines for Best Long-Haul Airline, Best Asia Airline, Best Economy Class and Best Cabin Staff; United for best North American Airline; LOT Polish Airlines for Best Eastern European Airline and South African Airways for Best African Airline.
