Facts from the Star Alliance Circle Asia Fare rule:

  • No seasons, no blackout periods – applicable all year.
  • Economy, Business and First Class available.
  • Applicable in 17 countries in Asia and South West Pacific on CA/FM/LH/LX/NH/NZ/OS/SQ/OZ/TG and UA.
  • Fare levels differ per country.
  • Fare levels are subject to applicable taxes, fees and surcharges.
  • Children Discount applies: 2-11 years are charged 75%, Infants under 2 years without a seat are charged 10% of applicable fare. Proof of age required at ticketing.
  • Children and infants have to be accompanied on all sectors in the same cabin by a Star Alliance Circle Asia Fare adult passenger paying full fare.
  • Maximum Permitted Mileage: 15000 or 18000 miles.
  • Individual sectors may be travelled only once in each direction.

Definition of Areas:

  • South-East Asia: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos
  • North Asia: Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China
  • South-West Pacific: New Zealand, Australia
  • Journey must include travel to all these areas and only one crossing permitted between the following areas:
    • South-West Pacific - North Asia
    • South-West Pacific - South-East Asia
    • North Asia - South East Asia
  • Travel must commence from and return to the same country
  • All sectors up to and including the first international sector have to be confirmed at least          7 days prior to departure.
  • Certain booking classes apply.
  • Maximum of 18 sectors permitted
  • Three day minimum stay.
  • Maximum stay six months.
  • Minimum of two stopovers required, but only one per city permitted.
  • Surface sectors in-between are permitted at passenger's expense.
  • Bonus miles can be accrued.
