Star Alliance Thailand Airpass – Terms and Conditions
- The Star Alliance Thailand Airpass is designed for Economy class round trips, circle trips or open jaw travel via the services of THAI (TG) within Thailand in conjunction with international travel to/from/via Thailand.
- The Star Alliance Thailand Airpass can only be bought in conjunction with an international round trips, Star Alliance Round the World fare, circle trip or open jaw travel to/from/via Thailand on any Star Alliance member airline service in First, Business or Economy class.
- One Star Alliance Thailand Airpass can be purchased per international Round Trip, Round the World, Circle Fare or Single open Jaw ticket. Star Alliance Thailand Airpass may be sold in conjunction with any type of international fares.
- This Airpass is only available to residents of countries outside of Thailand.
- The Star Alliance Thailand Airpass consists of 3 to 10 flight coupons.
- The total airfare is determined by the number of coupons plus applicable fees, taxes and surcharges. The first 3 coupons cost 199 USD, each additional coupon 65 USD plus applicable fees, taxes and surcharges.
- Children (2-11years) are charged 75% of the adult fare plus applicable fees, taxes and surcharges. A proof of age is required. The first infant under 2 years of age, not occupying a seat, pays 10% of the applicable adult fare plus respective fees, taxes and surcharges. Only one infant not occupying a seat is allowed per adult passenger. Proof of age is required at time of ticketing. Infants occupying a seat are charged the applicable child fare plus applicable fees, taxes and surcharges. If an infant turns 2 during the trip, the children discount (75% of adult fare) applies for entire journey and a separate seat will be provided. No other discount shall apply. Children and infants must be accompanied on all sectors in the same cabin by a Star Alliance Thailand Airpass adult passenger paying the full Thailand Airpass fare. Unaccompanied children or infants are not accepted.
- The Star Alliance Thailand Airpass can be bought in combination with international Star Alliance redemption programme tickets to/ from/via Thailand, starting outside Thailand.
- All flights of the Star Alliance Thailand Airpass will accrue miles to the passengers nominated Star Alliance Frequent Flyer Programme.
Planning the route
- There is no minimum stay required for your trip. It may last up to 3 months from the beginning of your travel on the first Airpass coupon to completion of travel on the last Airpass coupon.
- The Thailand Airpass permits stopovers. A stopover is a stay of more than 24 hours. Any point may be transited additional times for the purpose of making transfer connections requiring less than 24 hours.
- Surface sectors in-between are allowed at your own expense. If such break in itinerary exceeds 24 hours it is considered as one stopover.
Advance Reservations
- Reservations for the first domestic flight of the Thailand Airpass must be made prior to arrival in Thailand. The subsequent flights may be left open and booked at any time before the departure of each domestic sector.
Your ticket
- Ticketing must be completed before arrival in Thailand.
- You can purchase your Star Alliance Thailand Airpass at your local travel agent or at any Star Alliance member airline reservation center outside of Thailand. You may alternatively use the online Star Alliance Thailand Airpass Calculator. to plan your desired trip and to email your itinerary directly from the tool to your preferred Star Alliance airline offering this service for availability check, fare calculation and reservation.
- Thailand Airpass fares apply only to residents who do not live in Thailand.
- An international ticket with a flight to Thailand and proof of residence such as a passport, immigration stamp, visa must be presented on demand. Additionally the international ticket must be presented at check-in for domestic flights.
- The Star Alliance Thailand Airpass is not combinable and has to be issued separately from your international ticket.
- This fare may not be sold or issued in Thailand.
Change of plans
- Rebooking is not permitted for the first domestic sector. Other sectors may be rebooked at least three hours before departure without cancellation fee if no reissuance of the ticket is required.
- Rerouting is not permitted.
Cancellation & Refunds
- Airpass totally unused: refund less a cancellation charge of USD 50.
- Airpass partially unused: The refund will be the difference between the fare paid and the applicable normal fare for the portions used.
- Refund shall be done at the original ticketing office and is not permitted in Thailand.
Baggage
- Baggage allowance: 20 kg per person.
- For excess baggage charges, please contact THAI (TG).
