Europe Airpass Terms and Conditions
- The Star Alliance Europe Airpass is designed for Economy class trips through Europe via the services of bmi (BD), Spanair (JK), Adria Airways (JP), Blue 1 (KF), Lufthansa (LH), LOT Polish Airlines (LO), SWISS (LX), Austrian (OS), Croatia Airlines (OU), Scandinavian Airlines (SK+BU), Turkish Airlines (TK) and TAP Portugal (TP).
- Within Europe, the ticket is valid in the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldavia, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and United Kingdom.
- The Airpass is available in conjunction with international Round Trips or Star Alliance Round the World Fares to/from/via Europe and those flights must be on scheduled services in First/Business or Economy class of a Star Alliance member carrier.
- The Airpass is available to residents of a country outside of Europe in connection with international travel to/from/via Europe.
- One Star Alliance Europe Airpass can be purchased per international Return, Round the World, Circle Trip or Single Open Jaw ticket to/from/via Europe. Upon request proof of residency must be presented.
- The Star Alliance Europe Airpass consists of 3 to 10 flight coupons.
- The total airfare is determined by the number of coupons plus applicable fees, taxes and surcharges.
- Children between the ages of 2-11 years pay 75% and infants under 2 years not occupying a seat pay 10% of the applicable adult fare. If an infant turns 2 years during the journey, the children fare will be applied for the entire journey and a separate seat will be provided. Proof of age is required at time of ticketing. Children and infants must be accompanied on all sectors in the same cabin by a Star Alliance Europe Airpass adult passenger paying the full Europe Airpass fare. Unaccompanied children or infants are not accepted.
- The Star Alliance Europe Airpass can be bought in combination with intercontinental Star Alliance redemption programme tickets.
- All flights of the Star Alliance Europe Airpass will accrue miles to the passengers nominated Star Alliance Frequent Flyer Programme. bmi (BD), Spanair (JK), Adria Airways (JP), Blue 1 (KF), Lufthansa (LH), LOT Polish Airlines (LO), SWISS (LX), Austrian (OS), Croatia Airlines (OU), Scandinavian Airlines (SK+BU), Turkish Airlines (TK) and TAP Portugal (TP) have the right to exclude single flights from the Star Alliance Europe Airpass. Furthermore they can limit the number of passengers travelling with a Star Alliance Europe Airpass on any given flight
Planning the route
- There is no minimum stay required for your trip. It may last up to 3 months from the beginning of your travel on the first Airpass coupon to completion of travel on the last Airpass coupon.
- Two stopovers are required. They are permitted at any point served by bmi (BD), Spanair (JK), Adria Airways (JP), Blue 1 (KF), Lufthansa (LH), LOT (LO), SWISS (LX), Austrian (OS), Croatia Airlines (OU), Scandinavian Airlines (SK+BU), Turkish Airlines (TK) and TAP Portugal (TP) within Europe. A stopover is a stay of more than 24 hours. Any point may be transited additional times for the purpose of making transfer connections requiring less than 24 hours.
- Changing flights at a transfer/connecting point requires an additional coupon.
- Individual sectors may not be travelled more than once in each direction.
- Surface sectors in-between are allowed at your own expense. If such break in itinerary exceeds 24 hours it is considered as one stopover
Baggage
- Baggage allowance: 20 kg per person.
Exception: If your trip starts/ends or transits in USA, Canada or Mexico or respectively starts in Brazil and ends in China, two pieces of luggage of max. 23 kg each per person are allowed.
- For excess baggage charges, please contact Air China or Shanghai Airlines.

The carriage of passengers, baggage and cargo is subject to the conditions of carriage of the carriers concerned, copies of which may be requested from each Star Alliance member airline.
- Please create the itinerary of your trip by using the Star Alliance Circle Fare & Airpass Calculator and send it directly out of the tool to your preferred Star Alliance airline offering this service. You will then receive a non-binding offer in accordance with all terms and conditions, stating the final rate including all applicable fees, taxes and surcharges.
