You can use your miles or points to upgrade one class of service, enabling you to enjoy benefits such as priority check-in, lounge access and a more personal onboard service. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy more travel benefits.

Alliance upgrades are currently available on 26 of our Star Alliance member airlines.

How to upgrade:

You’ll need to have a ticketed reservation to request our Star Alliance Upgrade Award with your frequent flyer programme – then they’ll tell you how many miles you need.
Upgrade Awards are based on availability, so you’ll need to check with your Frequent Flyer Programme provider and see their terms and conditions.
Any miles you use will then be automatically deducted from your frequent flyer program account.
