
Vice President Information Technology (IT) Star Alliance
Justin Erbacci was appointed Vice President, Information Technology (IT), Star Alliance, in January 2010.
In this role, Mr. Erbacci is in charge of planning, development and operations of the Star Alliance IT environment, including applications, infrastructure, networks and service management. His tasks also include managing operations and service levels with suppliers. Moreover, as a member of the IT management board, he works with the CIOs of the member carriers to develop, coordinate and implement key IT strategies, supporting both the alliance business objectives and creating value for the alliance members.
Mr. Erbacci joins Star Alliance from Credit Suisse, where he was director for the Private Banking IT division, leading the global strategic planning and deployment of front end technology products. Prior to Credit Suisse, he was the Director of Strategic Sourcing at Star Alliance Services GmbH where one of his major accomplishments was the establishment of the Alliance Sourcing Board. Mr. Erbacci first started working with the Star Alliance organisation through his role at United Airlines, where he was the Programme Lead for the initial Star Alliance Common IT Platform project. Prior to joining the airline business, Mr. Erbacci worked in the areas of strategy, operational and IT consulting at various management consultancies. Prior to his consulting days, he practiced law as a civil rights defence litigator in the Law Department of the City of Chicago. Mr. Erbacci has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Loyola University of Chicago, a Juris Doctor Degree from the Loyola University School of Law and an M.B.A. in International Business from the Vienna School of Business and Economics/University of South Carolina.
Mr. Erbacci was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, but has also lived in Russia,Austria, Italy and Switzerland. He is married and has one daughter. His major hobbies involve sports, both as a participant and a spectator.
