Star Alliance has leveraged its network to raise awareness globally of its commitment to environmental sustainability. One such example is the fact that every member airline is dutybound to agree to our Environment Commitment Statement.

Biosphere Connections

Biosphere Connections is a Star Alliance environmental initiative, donating flights to field workers, educators and scientists to help conserve some of the world’s most unique habitats.

Environmental Action within the Industry

The Star Alliance network supports the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and their vision of carbon neutral growth in the medium term through industry-wide co-operation in technology investment, improved operational efficiency and the creation of better infrastructure and economic incentives.
