  • Simon Woodroffe is the founder of YO! Sushi. The concept was to make sushi eating a complete entertainment experience and featured call buttons, robot drinks trolleys and Japanese TV. The first restaurant opened in London and became an overnight phenomenon.

    Simon has won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Best Venue at the Retailer of the Year Awards. For his contribution to hospitality, Simon was awarded an OBE in 2006. Learn more about YO! under

  • Award winning designer Bill Moggridge is the co-founder of IDEO, one of the most successful design firms in the world which has contributed to the development of many standard-setting innovations, including the first mouse (for Apple Computer) and the world’s first laptop computer (for GRiD Computer) which Bill himself designed.

    More recently, IDEO’s work has addressed such themes as sustainability, the design of communities and enterprise for people in the world’s lower income groups. Amongst other things, Bill has been visiting professor in Interaction Design at the Royal College of Art in London, and is currently Consulting Associate Professor in the Joint Program in Design at Stamford University.Learn more about IDEO

  • Isamu Tatsuno was born in 1947 in Osaka, Japan. He dedicated much of his youth to becoming a mountaineer and in 1969, he became the second Japanese to climb the North Face of the Eiger in the Swiss Alps.

    In 1975 he founded his company MontBell, to manufacture mountaineering equipment and clothing. He has also personally invested in over 100 high tech companies in Greater China and has a proven track record of creating value for limited partners.   • Dr. Shi is the founder, chairman and CEO of Suntech Power. After a year at Sydney-based University of New South Wales Renewable Energy Center in 1988, Shi found himself at a company formed to commercialize the ideas of fellow researchers.

    Regular trips back to China to lecture on solar power coincided with a global push for renewable energy. Suntech, started in Wuxi in 2001 with 20 workers, now occupies four sites with a total workforce of 3500.
