Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, EGYPTAIR

Captain Hossam Kamal, the Chairman & CEO of EGYPTAIR Holding Company, took over his position on December 7th 2011 after more than 29 years of experience within EGYPTAIR. In 2009, he was appointed to be EGYPTAIR Holding Vice Chairman. Hossam Kamal has held many leading positions during his career at EGYPTAIR, including GM Flight Training and Vice Chairman of EGYPTAIR AIRLINE

During his tenure as Vice Chairman, Hossam Kamal achieved significant successes and played a substantial role that actively supported and enhanced EGYPTAIR’s performance.

He played a key part in EGYPTAIR’s expansion plan and business modernization. Moreover, he chaired several strategic committees implementing quality improvement in all EGYPTAIR’s subsidiaries and coordinated with Egyptian airports to simplify the operation. He led the EGYPTAIR Investment Plan committee that made a positive contribution to the development and cost reduction initiatives. In addition, Hossam Kamal headed the branding committee which managed the transition period of EGYPTAIR to the new brand and upgraded customer service.

Hossam Kamal is an active B777 Pilot, Trainer & Examiner with an experience exceeding 13,000 flying hours.

He holds a B.SC. in Aviation and credential studies in leadership and administration management.

Hossam Kamal was born in Cairo in 1963. He is married with 2 sons and 2 daughters.
