Chan Bup Park

Vice Chairman and CEO, Asiana Airlines

Chan Bup Park joined Asiana Airlines in 1990 and has held various national and international responsibilities in marketing and sales at the airline. In 1995 he became Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing; in 2000 he was appointed Executive Vice President for Commercial Operations.

After successfully completing his Presidency from 2001 to 2005, he has been recently promoted to Vice Chairman & C.E.O of Asiana Airlines. Chan Bup Park was born in 1945. He received a degree in Political Science from Kyunghee University in 1967. During the course of his career, he has also completed executive programs in both Business Administration, at Seoul National University, and Mass Communication, at Yonsei University.

He is currently a member of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the South & North Korea Economic Cooperation Committee, Board of Director PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association), member of the FKI (The Federation of Korean Industries), Chairman of Korea-Germany Industrial Cooperation. In 2002 he received the Order of Industrial Service Merit and the Kyunghee Award for the Most Distinguished Tourism Figure.
