AEGEAN AIRLINES, Greece’s largest full-service airline and its subsidiary Olympic Air carried 10.1 million passengers in 2014. AEGEAN has been investing over many years in strengthening its international presence and in supporting tourism in Greece, both in Athens and at regional airports. The AEGEAN fleet consists of 43 Airbus A320 family aircraft with an average age of 5.5 years.
On 23rd October 2013 AEGEAN acquired Olympic Air; as a result passengers have increased frequencies and connections as well as many more Greek destinations to choose from in our vast AEGEAN network.
The 2015 network offers 15 million available seats, 2 million more than 2014, with flights to 134 destinations in 42 countries.
The Company was honoured with the Skytrax World Airline award, as the best European regional airline in 2015. AEGEAN won this award for the 5th year in a row and for the 6th time since 2009.
