Star Alliance Services GmbH based in Frankfurt, is the full time organization that coordinates Star alliance activities and manages joint projects on behalf of the world’s largest airline alliance. An internship at Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance will help you make the leap into the international business world. Internship Human Resources
The Human Resources department is responsible for all staffing, employee relations, training, management of benefit and compensation plans, and general internal inquiries within our international and culturally diverse organization. Within our small-sized HR Department you will have the opportunity to gain insight and hands-on experience in a variety of areas.
Internship Facts:
- Begin: February 2013
- Duration: 6 months – 12 months
- Location: Frankfurt Airport Centre
Internship Tasks:
Responsible for company-wide intern program
- Advertising positions
- Support Recruitment Process: pre-selection of applications and conduction of personal and telephone interviews
- Integration (Induction Course, Intern Meetings and further activities)
- Succession planning in coordination with the Business Units
Support training and development initiatives of staff
Assist in new employee integration, as well as exit management (including work permit-, relocation- and moving-out process)
Support internal communication (maintenance and development of HR intranet space, deliver content for internal publications)
Responsible for small self-directed projects
Plan and organize Star Alliance events, such as Summer/Christmas Dinner, Brown Bag Sessions
Support in daily HR activities and administrative tasks (liaise with payroll provider, tax advisors and other 3rd party providers)
Internship Requirements:
Student or recent graduate in human resources, economics, social sciences, or similar fields
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Fluency in English and German
Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Very good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to contribute in an international environment; cultural awareness
Team spirit
Self-initiative
Holder of valid work permit for Germany
